The logo is depicted by a square pictogram (perfect, harmonious and balanced form) featuring the stylized drawing of a Roman aqueduct, the symbol of permanence and development, as well as life and prosperity, the union of different cultures and people. The figure of the aqueduct is the element that best expresses and represents the values and commitment of the bank.

Banca Intesa voluntarily assumes corporate social responsibility based on the values declared in the Group Code of Ethics1: Integrity, Excellence, Transparency, Respect for specific qualities, Equality, Values of the individual, and Responsibility in the use of resources. Principles of corporate social responsibility are reflected in all activities of Banca Intesa. This plays a key role in the bank’s system of values.

The bank builds relations with customers and partners based on conditions of equality and transparency, and strict observance of laws, including banking, tax, anti-monopoly and consumer protection laws.

The bank’s customer-oriented approach is expressed by continuously improving customer satisfaction with the bank’s activities through steady improvement of the quality of the bank’s products and maintenance of high level of services.

The bank’s activities fully comply with the requirements of Russian laws and strict standards of Intesa Sanpaolo and international standards (Wolfsberg AML Questionnaire)2 in the field of anti-money laundering.

Sponsorship and charity are important aspects in socially responsible conduct of the bank. Banca Intesa contributes to support of various projects in arts and culture, science, education, healthcare, sports, regional development, environmental protection and social solidarity.

The bank pays special attention to projects aimed at familiarizing Russian society with Italian culture, which has generously enriched world culture.

Banca Intesa is progressively forming ecological standards aimed at prudent use of electric power, water, and paper.

The bank is diligent in selection of suppliers based on principles of transparency and equality, and attaches great importance to aspects related to environment protection and labour hygiene in the course of purchases.

The bank prefers reprocessed paper, energy-efficient products and technological equipment which does not adversely affect the environment. Pursuant to a new version of the Procurement Policy3 adopted in 2010, the bank pays much more attention to social aspects when selecting suppliers.

Rejecting war as a means to solve conflicts, the bank follows the Non-Armament Policy, which stipulates for non-participation of the bank (including within the framework of settlements with customers) in any activities related to production, trade, testing of weapon, even if allowed by law.

Being unprejudiced and politically independent, Banca Intesa does not participate in financing political parties and relevant legal entities and individuals. The bank also does not participate in any election campaigns.

The bank aims at social transparency through disclosure of information on its web site and in printed matters, regular publication of reports, and participation in conferences, forums and dialogues with media representatives.

Assuming corporate social responsibility, the bank creates a favourable social environment and believes that enhancement of the bank’s social responsibility enhances the financial possibilities of its customers. We believe that social responsibility is a necessary condition for further social development.
